Against All Odds is an educational and awareness-rising online game simulating the struggle for survival of a political refugee by the UNHCR.
The game begins by putting the player into the role of a refugee, who first flees the country and then tries to assimilate to a new, unfamiliar one. Along the way, players have to make difficult decisions.
Zarghoona is 16, and has been working for as long as she can remember, embroidering clothes and wrapping sweets. She wasn't able to use a tape measure until 6 months ago when she started attending a Working Streetchildren Center.
Issa Khan is a working street child. He sells cups of water on the streets of Mazari-Sharif, and is the bread winner in the family, after his father was shot while sleeping on the roof at night. This is his story.
