Imagine a way for people all over the world to tell the story of what was happening to them — or around them — during a disaster or emergency. It would need to be easy to use. Something that almost anybody can do. And it would need to be deployable worldwide. And thatʼs why weʼve created Ushahidi ("testimony" in Swahili) Platform.
18 Days In Egypt is a collaborative documentary project on the 2011 revolution in Egypt. The project's goal is to tell the story using the same tools that helped share it with the world in real time.
The CrisisMappers Standby Task Force has been undertaking a mapping of social media, news reports and official situation reports from within Libya and along the borders at the request of OCHA. The Task Force is also aiding in the collection and mapping of 3W information for the response.
