2011 is PBI's 30th year. Unfortunately, the world is still a dangerous to be a human rights defender, and the need for international accompaniment to protect such courageous and important people is as strong as ever.
PBI is an international human rights organisation founded in 1981. Working in Colombia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Mexico and Nepal, our volunteers protect threatened human rights defenders by bearing witness, and bringing international attention to their struggle.
